Historic Interpreter, Ticonderoga NY | 2017-2019
During my time working at Fort Ticonderoga, I was responsible for the construction, and maintenance of historically accurate uniforms and accoutrements for both myself and some staff members. This work required close study of period sources, extant garments, material culture, and documented manufacturing techniques to ensure accuracy in cut, materials, and use. In addition to producing these items, I took part in immersive, on-site interpretation, giving public demonstrations during weekend events. These demonstrations focused on dress, labor, and daily life, allowing visitors to engage directly with history through material authenticity, craftsmanship, and informed performance.
