During my time at Parsons Meares as an Assistant Maker, I contributed to the creation of costumes for some of Broadway’s most iconic productions, including The Lion King, Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, Frozen, and Aladdin. I began working with the company at just 14 years old, gaining early exposure to professional costume-making and quickly developing foundational skills in cutting, draping, patterning, beading, millinery, and detailed machine and hand sewing. Collaborating with experienced makers and supervisors, I helped bring intricate, high-performance garments to life, each crafted to withstand the demands of the stage. This experience not only deepened my technical versatility and craftsmanship but also shaped my dedication to the industry from a young age.
